General Info

Located at 52-57, Fleet St, Temple Bar, Dublin 2, D02 A375, Ireland, Thunder Road Cafe is a brunch restaurant that offers a lively dining experience in one of Dublin’s most well-known locations. From the moment I stepped inside, the atmosphere felt welcoming and relaxed, making it an easy choice for a casual meal with friends, family, or even a solo visit. The combination of comfortable seating, attentive table service, and reliable Wi-Fi creates a space where guests can settle in and enjoy their time without feeling rushed.

One of the standout parts of the menu is the variety of comfort food options that suit different tastes throughout the day. During my visit, the Fish and Chips immediately caught my attention. The dish delivered the familiar flavors many diners look for when exploring local restaurant reviews, offering a satisfying balance of texture and taste. The BBQ Chicken Wings were another highlight, bringing a rich and savory flavor that worked perfectly as a starter or shared plate.

For those looking to enjoy a drink alongside their meal, the Birra Guinness is a natural choice and pairs well with several items on the menu. If you prefer something lighter and more refreshing, the Strawberry Daiquiri adds a vibrant touch to the dining experience. Both beverages complement the restaurant’s casual brunch atmosphere and help create a memorable visit.

Dessert is also worth exploring here. The Skillet Cookie arrives as a warm and indulgent treat that feels perfect for sharing. It adds a sweet finish without overwhelming the meal and has become one of the menu items that many guests are likely to remember after their visit.

Another feature that makes this location appealing is its practical service offering. Guests can enjoy takeout when dining in is not convenient, while families will appreciate the availability of a kids' menu. These details help Thunder Road Cafe accommodate a wide range of visitors, from tourists exploring Temple Bar to locals looking for a dependable brunch spot.

Among the many restaurant locations in Dublin, Thunder Road Cafe stands out for its approachable menu, friendly service, and comfortable environment. Based on my experience, it is the kind of place where good food, relaxed surroundings, and thoughtful service come together naturally, making it a noteworthy addition to the local dining scene and a restaurant that earns positive reviews from visitors seeking a satisfying meal in the heart of the city.

What customers say?

“ The Thunder Road Cafe in Dublin is an outstanding venue for a celebration or meal with friends. The design is stylish with something fascinating to look at in every space of the cafe whether it's a motorbike hanging from the ceiling or some wider pop culture memorabilia. The menu is excellent and what could be average such as a chicken burger is elevated to outstanding by forensic attention to detail on every ingredient. This is all backed up by excellent service from the superb staff. We were celebrating a birthday during our visit and they made it a special memorable night. The atmosphere is also worthy of a mention. If you're in Dublin a visit to the Thunder Road Cafe should be a priority. ”

“ In Dublin for a long weekend for my husbands birthday and booked to come for our first night so we had something sorted. It was absolutely fantastic. Food, service, ease to get to, everything was excellent. I'd put in the booking that is was a birthday occasion and we had a lovely balloon on the table, aswell as getting a ice cream with a sparkler in at the end too. Above and beyond service. Would highly reccomend to everyone. Candice our server was super friendly and helpful. We were in for 6pm so even got to use the early bird menu 2 courses for 21.95, portions or flavour did not go down for this. Might try and go back for brunch!! ”

“ Leaving a review on my friend behalf’s and mine: We had a wonderful time! REALLY! I’ve never visited this place before and I was shocked on how our attendant Kate was such a fantastic person! Top tier service and hospitality! The food was amazing, full of flavors, not just a pretty plate! I had the pleasure to try their new Atomic Spicy sauce, and it was powerfull, yet you could feel all the flavors they incorporated into it. The cookie skillet was addictive, very well balanced, and a must order! The ambience is casual, relaxed, and fun at the same time! Well done to the whole team! Very few places nowadays are able to hold a very balanced and high standard like this. Thank you for the lovely time. ”
